• <strong>“Reston Stream Restoration”</strong> An exhibit of information and models showing the importance and benefits of restoring urban streams, and the progress of Reston’s stream restoration program. Presented by Wetland Studies and Solutions Inc (WSSI). (See below for Talk &amp; Walk scheduled for Saturday, too!)<br />
• <strong>“Nature of Reston”</strong> – Photography by Chuck Veatch, featured in the book “Nature of Reston”.<br />
Both on display through July 6.</p>
<p><strong>June 5, Saturday, 12 noon:</strong> Stream Restoration Exhibit Talk and Walk &#8211; Mike Rolband of Wetland Studies and Solutions Inc (WSSI) will talk about the next phase of the stream restoration program in Reston. At 1 pm, WSSI staff will lead a walk to Hickory Cluster to view pre-restoration streams, and at 2 pm, view a post-restoration stream at the Glade Fire Ring. <p><strong>June 5, Saturday, 2 pm:</strong> Families are invited to hear Ralph Cosham present a reading of “Wind in the Willows” by Kenneth Grahame.</p>
<p><strong>June 19, Saturday, 2 pm:</strong> Author Tom Finn presents his book, “Are You Clueless?”</p>
<p><strong>July 17, Saturday, 2 pm:</strong> Author Trevor Owens presents his book, “Fairfax County”.</p>
<p><strong>July 23, Friday, 6 until 8 pm:</strong> Opening Reception. Show and sale of works by the inimitable Reston artist, <strong>Pat Macintyre</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>August 21, Saturday, 2 pm: </strong>Author Suzanne Scurlock-Durana presents her book, “Healing from the Core”.</p>

<p><strong>Reston Historic Trust (RHT) – “Best of Reston 2010” honoree</strong> – a community-based non-profit organization, was founded in 1996 to sustain the unique history of the award-winning, innovative, planned community of Reston through the operation of Reston Museum and Shop, which opened to the public in 1997. Located at Lake Anne Village Center, Reston Museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 12 until 5 PM, Saturday from 10 AM until 5 PM, and Sunday from 12 until 5 pm, staffed by volunteer docents. Reston Museum offers walking tours, community exhibits and archives, programs, commemorative bricks, and annual events such as Reston Founders Day in April, and the Reston Home Tour in October. Reston Museum’s shop is the only source for Reston-ware such as t-shirts, mugs, works by Reston artists, and more. Funding support for operation of Reston Museum comes from public membership in the Reston Historic Trust, donations, grants, Reston Home Tour proceeds, and shop sales.
