Rewriting Reston’s Master Plan
From Fx Co DPZ Planner Heidi Merkel:
Thank you for your on-going interest in the review of the Reston Master Plan and the Reston Land Use College. I’m writing to share with you that on Tuesday July 28th at 7 p.m. at Reston Community Center at Hunters Woods (2310 Colts Neck Road), staff from the Department of Planning and Zoning will hold a repeat of the kick-off session for the Reston Land Use College.
The purpose of the Reston Land Use College is to provide an opportunity to learn about relevant land use planning concepts, the planning process and the process of reviewing development proposals in the Reston area.
At this kick-off session, we will be discussing the basis of land use planning in Virginia and reviewing the topics to be covered in the future sessions. At the end of the session, we will be asking people interested in attending the rest of the course to fill out a short registration form.
If you attended the June 16th meeting, please note that this session will cover the same information in a slightly different fashion to make the information as accessible as possible. Also, we would appreciate it if you would consider passing this information along to a neighbor or friend who may be interested in participating.
Please RSVP to Heidi.Merkel@fairfaxcounty.gov if you are able to join us.
